Creating by hand gives a depth and unique beauty to Jane's designs. She employs a variety of tools to achieve the paintings and drawings from which she realizes her client's vision. Nature is Jane's muse, whether she is precisely rendering flower petals, abstracting the geometry found in bare winter branches or translating the subtle color shifts on sun-dappled leaves. Jane has transformed the Downtown Brooklyn terrace surrounding her studio into an urban oasis and constant source of inspiration. She has channeled her talent for carving out serene spaces within a chaotic city environment into patterns that combine cerebral geometry with lush organic motifs; all with a modern, often whimsical point of view. 

Experience

Jane's extensive and varied experience in the world of design began with a permanent career detour from teaching art in her native Canada to pursuing a textile design degree at FIT in New York City. Top residential and commercial distributors and manufacturers soon took notice and Jane has distinguished herself ever since in consulting and design direction roles for companies including Designtex, Steelcase Health, CF Stinson, Humanscale and Interface. Jane's pitch-perfect multilayered prints, engineered designs and complex woven constructions, combined with her knowledge of the marketplace, have resulted in a long list of bestselling and award-winning collections.
